DIY-Floral
Centerpieces
I knew when I started planning that I didn't want to spend a lot on flowers-while they look beautiful, I couldn't justify the cost when they were just going to get thrown away at the end of the night. Luckily, my favorite flower-the orchid, looks great in silk and unless you feel them, it's hard to tell that they are fake. I also loved the idea and look of floral pomanders and was thrilled when I saw that you can replicate them using tissue paper and quickly got to work.
On 1/2 of my tables (6) I did 3 different sized cylinder vases (6", 7.5" and 10") with submerged orchids and a floating candle on top. On the other 1/2 of my tables (6), I did blue tissue paper pomanders on top of a 30" pilsner vase that had blue rocks and flameless candle uplighting in the bottom. Dangling from the pomander was a 20" crystal bead strand.
I rented the 6", 10", and 30" vases from my florist who also set up all of my centerpieces
The 7.5" vases I bought from The Dollar Tree, the orchids I bought from another Minneapolis Knottie, and the blue tissue paper I got from Target. Everything else was purchased at JoAnn Fabrics

Pew Decorations
I got the inspiration for these while browsing the web. They were extremely simple and inexpensive to make.
The base is a styrofoam cone that I wrapped and hot-glued blue fabric around. I then used silver ribbon to cross over twice around the front and then pinned using pearl pins. The flowers are blue and white silk hydrangeas that I cut off of the stem and stuck into the top of the cone and hot-glued to keep it in place. I then attached a ribbon using floral wire to the back of each cone. These were later transported to the reception location and pinned to the head table.
I bought the styrofoam cones from The Dollar Tree. Everything else I bought at JoAnn's. (*Tip, I bought most of the flowers during their buy 1 get one free sale, OR 1 at a time using a 40% off coupon to save quite a bit of money)
